Betty Lee – Chairman, LeeMak International Network Ltd

Betty Lee’s career in Public Relations, Marketing and Corporate Communications in Hong Kong spanned over 35 years in the public sectors (including the Hong Kong Family Planning Association from 1975 to 1978 and the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) from 1996 to 2008 and the private sectors (including the television industry, public relations consultancy and the manufacturing industries).

From 1983 to 1990, Betty was the Head of Public Relations and Publicity at Television Broadcast Ltd. (TVB) with added responsibility as Project Manager for the Miss Hong Kong Pageant. In addition, she was responsible for the concept development of all the fashion parades as well as styling and image creation for the contestants. In 1991, Betty established her own PR consultancy, providing PR, marketing and event management services to clients including the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (with involvement in the Hong Kong Fashion Week and other trade shows), Wharf Cable and HKPC. In 1996, Betty was invited by her former client, HKPC, to join the Council as General Manager, Corporate Communications.

With a strong passion for design, styling and fashion, in 2009, Betty accepted a challenge to join Hong Kong Sales (Int’l) Ltd, as Assistant to the Chairman and Head of Product Development and Head of Administration. She successfully restructured and expanded the PD department from a small unit of three designers to a team of 12 designers, providing PD support for OEM customers as well as creating brand collections for Hong Kong Sales.

At the end of 2010, Betty was invited to join L plus H Fashion Ltd, a community interest company established to revive the Made in Hong Kong Brand, as a Director. In support of the Company’s mission, she provided her services on a pro-bono basis with a focus on the development of the L plus H brand collections for both premium knitwear and luxury leather products. She was also involved in the operation, marketing and merchandising of the L plus H Fashion store in Central, Hong Kong.In 2011, Betty founded LeeMak International Network Ltd, a global enterprise engaged in the promotion of Green Life and Green Technologies through various projects and initiatives. Betty is on the Executive Committee of Hong Kong Bio and Eco Energy Industry Association (HKBEE) and serves as the Head of its PR and Promotion Committee. Betty has a BA degree in Psychology.

 

 

Rodney Mak – Director, LeeMak International Network Ltd

Rodney Mak

Rodney Mak BABS FEIC FIIC can be best described as a successful entrepreneur. Having started his career in the hospitality and catering industry in the UK and Ireland he is widely recognised for his renowned and  highly acclaimed award winning restaurant in Dublin. He is a former council member of the Restaurants Association of Ireland and is a member of the Tourism Hotel and Catering Institute. He holds directorships in the Sweepstake Property Management Co. and Adair Property Management Co.

Rodney has been a non executive director of the Communications Group since 1997 and has been providing management, marketing and PR consultancy services to a range of the Group’s client portfolio which includes, Hertz Europe, Abbott Laboratories, Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Helvetica Wealth (Switzerland), Remsa (Repsol), Tourism Ireland and many others. He holds Life Fellowships of both the Irish and European Institute of Communications and currently presides as Chair of the Academic Council of the European Institute of Communications, an International specialist PR and Communications training Institute.

With a BA degree in Business Studies (London) he is also a Director of LeeMak International Network Ltd and the Hon Overseas Vice President of HKBEE (UK).

  • Director, US-China Green Energy Council, USA
  • Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) – B.S. (1969), M.S. (1970), Ph.D. (1972) in Electrical Engineering
  • Over 40 years of electric power industry experience. Worked for Stone & Webster Engineering, Systems Control, Inc., Energy Management Associates, Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), and IBM. At EPRI, he managed and directed research programs for power system analysis, planning and operations. For one year, he was an Executive Managing Consultant for IBM Global Business Services in China, with the Energy & Utilities Center of Competence. Stephen is a board member of The 1990 Institute and a board member and Smart Grid task force chairman of the US-China Green Energy Council. He is also advisor to LeeMak International, Ltd.
